FESCO Bills in Faisalabad Are Often Business Bills Too

FESCO serves Faisalabad and surrounding districts such as Sargodha, Jhang, Chiniot, Mianwali and Khushab, with Faisalabad itself shaped by textile markets, workshops, warehouses, small factories and dense residential colonies. That local mix matters. A FESCO bill is not always a simple household electricity bill. It may belong to a stitching unit, a loom shed, a plaza shop, a warehouse office, a residential portion above a shop, or a small factory that has a very different tariff category from a home.

The checker above opens the official bill through the PITC bill portal. iBill.pk does not generate the bill, store the Reference Number, verify the consumer record or change any amount. Once the PITC page opens, the official record is coming from the public billing system used by the distribution company.

If you have an old FESCO bill, use the 14-digit Reference Number printed on it. If you only have the Customer ID, enter it in the checker and the bill will open using the relevant PITC route where supported. For rented commercial units, ask for a previous bill before handing over advance rent. It is common for adjacent shutters or rooms to have similar-looking meter boards, and one wrong Reference Number can mean paying someone else's bill.

Residential, Commercial and Workshop Connections

Faisalabad users should read the tariff code before comparing bills. A family home in Madina Town and a workshop in a nearby market may both consume electricity from FESCO, but the billing category is not the same. If the connection is commercial, industrial or workshop-related, residential protected tariff rules will not explain the bill properly.

For a home connection, check whether the bill is protected or unprotected and compare current units with previous months. For a shop or small unit, check sanctioned load, tariff category, previous balance and payment history. For a mixed-use property, confirm whether the meter is officially domestic or commercial. If the category is wrong, the correction has to be handled through FESCO with proper documents; the online duplicate bill can only show the existing record.

Use NEPRA for current tariff structures and consumer information. Use Protected vs Unprotected Electricity Tariff as a plain-language explanation for residential users, not as a current-rate sheet.

Faisalabad, Sargodha, Jhang and Smaller Towns

FESCO's territory extends beyond Faisalabad city. Users in Sargodha, Jhang, Chiniot, Mianwali and Khushab may need a different sub-division or circle office even when the bill format looks the same. The company name on the bill confirms that it is FESCO, but the complaint office depends on the location and account record.

For current office information, customer services and company notices, use the FESCO official website. Avoid copying city complaint numbers from old social posts or third-party bill websites. If a phone number is not published on the official FESCO source, use the national electricity complaint number 118, SMS channel 8118, or the official online complaint systems.

A Practical Scenario: Rented Workshop or Plaza Unit

Suppose you rent a small unit in a plaza or workshop lane. Before you pay the first FESCO bill, match four things: the meter number, Reference Number, consumer address and tariff category. If the previous tenant used heavy machinery or left arrears, the current payable amount can look unfair even though it is correctly carried forward on the official bill.

If the unit has been split from a larger property, ask whether the meter is separate or shared. A shared meter creates disputes because the bill will not know who used how many units. It only records the account's total consumption. For any business arrangement, keep a copy of the PITC bill and payment receipt with your rent documents.

What to Check Before Complaining

Open the official bill and collect the facts before calling or visiting an office: present reading, previous reading, units, tariff code, arrears, due date and payment status. For a wrong-reading complaint, take a clear meter photo on the same day. For a payment not reflected, keep the bank, wallet, ATM or franchise receipt.

If the local office does not resolve the matter, use PITC CCMS or the Ministry of Energy complaints portal. These routes create a complaint record, which is more useful than repeating the same phone call without a tracking number.

Industrial-Lane Meter Boards and Address Proof

In Faisalabad markets and industrial lanes, several meters may be installed on one board for adjacent units. The consumer address may mention the plaza, lane or old property name rather than the current shop title. That is normal, but it means you should not pay by address alone. Match the meter number and Reference Number, especially when a business has shifted shutters or expanded into the next unit.

If the official bill is needed for a bank account, sales-tax file, tenancy agreement or supplier record, save the PITC duplicate for the correct billing month. A screenshot of only the payable amount is weaker than the full bill because it misses the consumer identifiers and tariff category.
