GEPCO Bills in the Gujranwala-Sialkot Belt
GEPCO serves Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and nearby areas. This region has a strong mix of homes, retail markets, workshops, exporters, small factories, fan-parts units, sports-goods businesses and agricultural users. Because of that, a GEPCO bill often needs context before it can be judged as normal, high or incorrect.
The checker above opens the official bill through PITC. iBill.pk does not store your Reference Number, create a bill or verify the amount before the official page opens. If the PITC page shows a bill, that is the official duplicate record. If something looks wrong, GEPCO or an official complaint system has to correct it.
Use the 14-digit Reference Number from any older bill. If a property has several meters, do not trust a saved number until you match it with the physical meter. This is common in Gujranwala and Sialkot streets where homes, shops and small workshops sit together.
Homes, Shops and Small Factories
GEPCO users should check the tariff code before comparing two bills. A home connection, a shop connection and a small industrial connection can all be in the same lane but billed under different categories. A small business can look expensive beside a household bill even when the meter reading is correct.
For a commercial or workshop meter, review sanctioned load, tariff category, previous balance and payment history. For a family home, review current units, protected/unprotected status, FPA and taxes. Use NEPRA for current tariff structures, and use Every Charge on Your Electricity Bill Explained for plain explanations of the bill lines.
Gujranwala, Sialkot and Export-Oriented Users
In Sialkot and Gujranwala, many consumers run cost-sensitive businesses from small premises. A stitching room, welding shop, sports-goods workshop, fan-parts unit or cold storage cannot be judged like an ordinary residential connection. If the bill is part of business costing, save the official PITC duplicate and payment receipt every month. It helps with rent disputes, tax records, bank requirements and supplier files.
If the property is rented, ask whether any arrears were left by the previous tenant. A previous balance can make the first month look unusually high. The bill will show the amount, not the business history behind it.
Official GEPCO Contact and Complaint Sources
For current office information, company tools, complaint desks and contact details, use the GEPCO official website. GEPCO service links and formats can change, so avoid depending on old SMS instructions or copied complaint-number tables unless they match the official source.
For general electricity complaints, 118 and 8118 are commonly used complaint channels. For unresolved billing issues, use PITC CCMS or the Ministry of Energy complaints portal. A complaint record is useful when a wrong reading, tariff issue or payment problem carries into the next bill.
Before Paying a GEPCO Bill
Check the consumer name, meter number, tariff category, payable amount, due date and previous balance. If the bill is for a shop, match the meter physically before payment. If the bill belongs to a house with a shop on the front, confirm whether the correct meter is being used for the correct portion.
For payment not reflected, keep the receipt and recheck the official PITC bill after the channel has had time to update. For wrong readings, take a clear meter photo. For FPA, read What is FPA on Your Electricity Bill. For online payment steps, use How to Pay Your Electricity Bill Online in Pakistan.
Workshop Tenants and Shared Premises
GEPCO territory has many properties where a residential building, shop and workshop sit on the same plot. A tenant may assume the meter is only for one room, but the bill may include a larger portion of the premises. Before taking a workshop on rent, ask which meter serves the unit, whether the meter is independent, and whether the previous balance is clear.
If machinery is used, also check whether the sanctioned load is suitable. A business that grows from light tools to heavier equipment may start facing billing or supply issues that a normal household guide will not explain. The official bill gives clues through tariff category, units and load-related fields, but any correction or upgrade has to be handled with GEPCO.
Gujrat, Narowal and Smaller City Users
GEPCO is not only Gujranwala and Sialkot. Users in Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin should still use the same PITC bill flow, but local office routing may differ. When filing a complaint, use the office or sub-division tied to the account instead of choosing the nearest large city by habit. The bill and official GEPCO directory are better guides than word-of-mouth.
For exporters, workshops and small manufacturers, the electricity bill is more than a household expense. It may be part of rent negotiation, production costing, loan files or tax records. Save the full PITC duplicate bill each month with the payment receipt. If a bill is later disputed, the full bill shows the account identifiers, month, units and tariff category. A cropped screenshot of the amount is not enough for serious business paperwork.
If a business has recently changed machines, extended working hours or added another room, compare units against the operational change before assuming the meter is faulty. GEPCO can review a complaint, but the first internal check should be whether usage actually changed.
