Electricity Base Tariff Estimator

Calculate the published variable and fixed tariff charges for common residential and small-commercial connections. Monthly adjustments, taxes and account balances are included only when you enter them.

This is a February 2026 schedule estimate, not a live tariff lookup. Confirm that this schedule applies to your billing month. It does not determine protected or lifeline eligibility, and it does not calculate taxes automatically.

Use the classification printed on your bill. Current-month units alone cannot determine protected or lifeline eligibility.

Optional bill-specific amounts

Copy these amounts from the relevant month's bill or official notification. Leave them blank for a base-tariff-only result. Use a minus sign for credits.

Rates and scope

Rates are taken from the GoP applicable schedule notified through S.R.O. 279(I)/2026. The calculator applies the previous-slab benefit only to protected residential consumers, uses the selected unprotected slab rate for all units, and calculates residential fixed charges from sanctioned load. Time-of-Use fixed charges use the greater of 50% of sanctioned load or MDI.

February schedule table and footnotes checked September 27, 2026: S.R.O. 279(I)/2026, Annex A-1 (PDF page 15). This verifies the named historical schedule, not the absence of later changes. Check the NEPRA tariff decisions for your billing month.

Worked examples for this schedule

These are illustrative calculations, not customer bills. Eligibility is assumed to have been confirmed by the DISCO. Taxes and monthly adjustments are excluded.

Unprotected: 250 kWh, 2 kW sanctioned load

Energy: 250 × Rs33.10 = Rs8,275. Fixed charge: 2 × Rs350 = Rs700. Base subtotal: Rs8,975.

Protected: 150 kWh, 1 kW sanctioned load

Energy: 100 × Rs10.54 + 50 × Rs13.01 = Rs1,704.50. Fixed charge: 1 × Rs300 = Rs300. Base subtotal: Rs2,004.50.

Time of Use: 50 peak kWh, 200 off-peak kWh, 5 kW load, 3 kW MDI

Energy: 50 × Rs46.85 + 200 × Rs34.53 = Rs9,248.50. Billed demand: the greater of 2.5 kW and 3 kW, so 3 kW. Fixed charge: 3 × Rs675 = Rs2,025. Base subtotal: Rs11,273.50.

The February schedule includes a month-specific rule for missing domestic ToU MDI in February 2026. This estimator requires an explicit MDI value and does not infer missing-demand treatment for other months.
