PESCO Coverage and the KPK Company Confusion

PESCO is the main electricity distribution company for large parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including important areas around Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Nowshera and Kohat. But KPK electricity billing is no longer a single simple label for every user. Some Hazara consumers may now belong to HAZECO, and consumers in merged districts may belong to TESCO. The safest rule is to follow the company name printed on the latest bill.

Use this checker when your bill belongs to PESCO. It opens the official duplicate bill through PITC. iBill.pk does not generate the bill, store your number, verify the amount or correct the account. It only helps you open the official page.

If the number does not work, do not keep changing random digits. First confirm whether the current company is PESCO, HAZECO or TESCO. A correct Reference Number entered on the wrong company endpoint can fail even when the bill exists.

Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Nowshera and Kohat Users

PESCO users are not all alike. A home in Peshawar, a shop in Mardan, a guesthouse in Swat and a small workshop in Nowshera can have different load patterns and tariff categories. Check the tariff code, current units, previous balance, due date and payment status before assuming the bill is wrong.

In colder or tourist areas, seasonal usage can make bills jump in specific months. Compare the bill with the same season where possible, not only with the previous month. A guesthouse or rented room block may show low consumption for months and then rise during peak occupancy.

Feeder, Load-Shedding and Billing Issues

Load-shedding complaints and billing complaints are not the same thing. If the issue is outages, feeder status or supply interruption, use PESCO's official channels. If the issue is wrong reading, arrears, tariff code or payment not reflected, collect bill-specific evidence before complaining.

For current offices, company notices and complaint information, use the PESCO official website. For national tariff and consumer-protection information, use NEPRA. If a local issue remains unresolved, use PITC CCMS or the Ministry of Energy complaints portal.

When the Bill May Actually Be HAZECO or TESCO

If the property is in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Kohistan or another Hazara area, check whether the latest bill says HAZECO. If it is in a merged district, check whether the bill says TESCO. This matters because each company has its own PITC route. Older habits and neighbor advice may use the old name, but the current bill is the source of truth.

For a landlord, shopkeeper or family member managing several properties, save each Reference Number with the company name and exact location. That small habit prevents repeated failed bill searches.

Complaint Preparation for PESCO Users

For wrong readings, take a clear meter photo with the reading visible. For payment disputes, keep the receipt from the bank, wallet, ATM, branch or collection point. For tariff category problems, prepare documents showing the actual use of the premises. Use 118 or 8118 where available for electricity complaints, and prefer recorded online complaints when the issue is serious.

Mountain Areas, Tenants and Family Properties

In hill and rural areas, one family may manage several meters across homes, shops and seasonal properties. Save the Reference Number with the village, property name and company name. If an elder sends a paper bill photo, keep the full photo rather than cropping only the amount. The company name, meter number and billing month are needed when something goes wrong.

For tenants in Peshawar or Mardan, check previous balance before accepting responsibility for the first bill. For shops, confirm whether the connection is commercial. For guesthouses or rented rooms in Swat and other tourist areas, keep monthly bills during busy seasons because electricity cost can become part of owner-tenant or manager-owner accounting.

When Not to Use the PESCO Page

Do not use this page just because the property is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Use it only when the latest bill says PESCO. If the bill says HAZECO or TESCO, use that company page. This keeps the bill opening clean and avoids the false impression that PITC has no record. Company separation is exactly the kind of detail Google and users both expect a local utility page to handle carefully.

For reading issues, the best evidence is a dated photo of the meter taken soon after the bill is received. For payment issues, keep the app receipt, bank slip or collection-point receipt until the next bill also looks clear. For load-shedding or supply complaints, record the feeder or area details if PESCO asks for them, because a bill Reference Number alone may not describe an outage.

In areas where travel to an office is inconvenient, prepare the complaint before leaving home. Take the bill copy, CNIC if required, meter photo and payment proof. A prepared visit is more likely to produce an answer than a general request to "check the bill."

If the bill is needed for school, bank, tenancy or address proof, save the official duplicate with the full account block visible. PESCO addresses can be shortened or older than the current local name, so check whether the institution will accept it before relying on the bill alone.
